The “Gender-Based Violence Monitoring & Evaluation” workshop is designed to provide the fundamental principles and concepts on monitoring and evaluating gender-based violence prevention and mitigation programs. This training will rely on the Gender-based Violence (GBV) Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Toolkit, developed by the Whole of Syria (WoS) GBV Sub-Cluster (SC) Turkey hub, drawing on the insights and experiences of international and local organizations implementing GBV programmes in Turkey cross-border operations.
The WoS GBV SC Turkey hub is a coordinating body whose primary objective is to strengthen GBV prevention and response in areas of Syria reachable through cross-border interventions from Turkey. It is currently comprised of approximately 60 active organizations, 90% of which are Syrian NGOs.
This training is essentially intended for practitioners working in the Whole of Syria and/or cross-border contexts from Turkey. We encourage interested participants to have in mind before applying to the training that it is developed on the basis of the Syrian context and intended for a use in this context. We welcome the application of professionals outside this context, but withdraw any responsibility if the training lessons and toolkit were to be applied in another context than the one specified.
