The training ensures that the employers' legislative responsibility to provide training is fully met and that all attending staff are fully prepared for their deployment to locations of elevated risk. The HEAT course focuses on the diverse contexts of Sudan and South Sudan, current threats, vulnerabilities, and exposure to individual and organisational risk.
SMS HEAT Course is a blended combination of theory and practical sessions that will equip participants with the confidence and skills required to avoid or respond to potential threats effectively.
The HEAT course focuses on the diverse contexts of Sudan and South Sudan, current threats, vulnerabilities, and exposure to individual and organisational risk. It will provide an opportunity for discussion and review of existing policies and procedures, affording ample opportunity for Security Focal Points and Managers to review and assess existing protocols.
During the training, learners will complete modules with assignments focused on the diverse contexts of Sudan and South Sudan, Personal Safety, Site Security and Travel Safety, Kidnap Avoidance and Survival of a Hostage Situation. The training will culminate with a First Aid package focusing on the Management of Catastrophic Bleeding. All of which will give participants the tools they need to remain safe in their workplace*.*
