DESCRIPTION
Action Against Hunger is committed to integrating a gender-transformative approach into all of our programming, and to reducing gender inequality and mitigating gender-based violence at all levels. This training supports our fundamental goal to advance gender equality and will equip participants to meet key priorities of the International Strategic Plan 2021-2025. This 3 half-day GBV Risk Mitigation training, facilitated by Action Against Hunger’s International Gender Unit, is designed for programming professionals who would like to learn more about GBV core concepts and how to mainstream GBV risk mitigation measures across the program cycle.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
- Understand the importance of integrating gender-based violence risk mitigation into food security and nutrition programs
- Identify key elements of GBV-responsive food security and nutrition programs
- Be aware of the key GBV considerations required for data collection and monitoring in different stages of the project cycle

- Program Evaluation – Tools for adaptation
- GBV Consideration in Proposal Writing (Narrative and Budget)

TARGET PARTICIPANTS
Programming professionals who would like to learn more about GBV core concepts and how to mainstream GBV risk mitigation measures across the program cycle (Program staff, Managers, Coordinators, Analysts, M&E personnel, Reporting Officers)

Participants must have stable access to the internet as the course will be facilitated on Action Against Hunger’s Learning Management System.
