Examples of monitoring programmes with different objectives will be illustrated using case studies.
On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
- Identify the key geological influences on groundwater bodies and their water quality.
- Identify the influences of human activities on water quantity and quality in groundwaters.
- Select appropriate monitoring designs for groundwaters in relation to different monitoring objectives.
- Propose locations for monitoring stations in given scenarios.
