Course description:
The L&D Working Group of the Alliance for Child Protection in Humanitarian Action has developed a training experience to help prepare facilitators to deliver training remotely. Opportunities to deliver trainings face-to-face currently remain limited, and the Alliance would like to contribute to strengthening CPHA practitioners’ capacity to continue the learning and development journey of their teams as this is critical while the pandemic continues to unfold.
Course objectives. By the end of the course, you will be able to:
- Identify good practice for remotely-facilitated training
- Design activities for remote delivery
- Demonstrate how to deliver interactive activities remotely
- Reflect on the roles and technology required for remote training
Course methodology and agenda:
The course comprises four live (remotely-facilitated) sessions and two pieces of self-paced learning to be completed by participants outside of the live sessions. Live sessions will take place on: Monday May 24th 16:00 CET, Monday May 31st 16:00 CET, Monday June 7th, 16:00 CET and Monday June 14th at 16:00 CET.
Target audience:
CPHA practitioners with experience facilitating face-to-face training events, but are now required to deliver content remotely. Preferably for this iteration participants are expected to have previously attended a Training of Trainers addressing training skills and adult learning theory.
