The capacity development initiative of Supporting Bangladesh Rapid Needs Assessment (SUBARNA) Project, CARE Bangladesh aims to develop the skills and competencies of selected key professionals, practitioners and university graduate students from relevant disciplines who are willing to directly contribute to the analysis for anticipatory impact, Joint Needs Assessment, and humanitarian response matrix during or after the disasters in Bangladesh.
Target Audiences
Working in an NGO, INGO, UN agency as Information Management focal or graduate student with GIS analysis skill sets from a reputed university on relevant disciplines (Disaster Management, Geography and Environment, Environmental Science, Economics, Statistics, etc.)
Having a humanitarian mindset and willing to contribute voluntarily during disaster impact analysis and assessment of NAWG.
Benefit & Prospect
The participant will be placed in the ‘on-call analyst pool’ after successful completion of this training. From the platform, the analyst will get updated humanitarian information and opportunities regularly. Moreover, in case of an emergency, the roster analyst will also receive notification and invitation to join the ‘Anticipatory Impact Assessment’ or ‘Joint Needs Assessment’ process. Based on availability and involvement, a daily basis honorarium will be paid and NAWG will also provide an acknowledgment certificate for the contribution.
